I went up to Val claret in Tignes this morning and it was busier than I have ever seen it. Xgames staff everywhere and so much tv gear moving into position. The halfpipe looks awesome and is probably the best prepared one in the world at the moment. Totally rebuilt over the last few weeks.

Tignes residents are normally not too bothered about things like this but you can feel the excitement building for this one. I think we are only just realising what a huge event it is.

Awesome!

It's huge in the US and Canada, looking forward to seeing the event grow in Europe over the next few years.

Saw a few fallers in ski slopestyle practice this morning. One guy had a binding break near the top. Put his good ski on and finished the course on one whilst carrying the other. Did a 360 on one ski on the final jump!

It would be so awesome to be able to go and watch the X Games in person one of these years. I've never been, but the games are so exciting that it certainly be fun.

Yes it certainly livened up the resort. Just about back to normal now. The only reminder that it happened is the superpipe and that has been reshaped to make the walls less vertical. Skied down it this afternoon with about a foot of fresh powder.
