Why does it blow? It offers boards you can get locally for cheaper. I think it's great.

Oh, I know right. Because Snowboards are so crazy expensive. None of them are under $300. And they never go on sale at local shops. Also, companies don't ever place markdown limits on merchandise that limits big online shops like the House from discounting below 40%... the same limits they give to local shops. So the House always has WAY cheaper prices [sarcasm].

So yah, you will never, ever find a board on sale at a local shop for the same price it is on the House... [sarcasm]

And, you're so right! Everybody who buys locally to support their town and keep their snowboard shop open so they can get what they need when they need it and not wait for shipping--or just shoot the shit with rad likeminded, snowboard obsessed shop kids--is just a little punk whose parents pay for everything.

Typical college douschebags, smart enough to get degrees but too stupid to understand just about everything else.

And Hush, those big online companies are killing snowboarding... don't be so quick to assume as long as people buy snowboards, they are keeping the industry alive. Check out the article I wrote about it:

http://www.desertsdontsnow.com/2010/03/ ... rding.html

Basically snowboards cost what they cost for a reason. Dumbasses like the OP don't get that. They think companies are being greedy and ripping them off, and that boards should retail for pro-form prices.

Typical American bullshit response, and the very reason democracy is failing. Why is Obama's "change" not happening? Well, one man can't change anything... everyone plays a part in why things are the way they are.

Don't just bend over and accept it, try to change it. Don't sit there and tell me that local shops will die out to online discounters and that's just the way it goes. At the very least, you can start buying from your local shop. What's a few more dollars to help keep your shop open, keep jobs available, etc.

Do your part. Don't be an ignorant sheeple.
